These charcoal baskets are essential for any serious griller. I use the charcoal chimney to light the charcoal and then pour it into the two baskets when they are fitted together. When I use the smoker box, I place it on the grate above the baskets in the center of the grill and use indirect heat for smoking. The baskets can be used pushed together or splt for direct grilling.

Bought my first set several years ago. I used the first set up. They pretty much deteriorated from the heat of the coals. I use them a lot.
