[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Remington Jumbo Curls Heated Rollers, and I’m really impressed with how well they work. I have thick, naturally straight hair, and finding a set of rollers that can give me volume and long-lasting curls has always been a bit of a challenge, but these have definitely delivered!
The set comes with a combination of two roller sizes: 8 x 34mm rollers and 4 x 40mm rollers. This gives me the option to create a mix of soft waves and more defined curls, depending on how I place the rollers in my hair. I love how versatile this setup is—larger rollers for volume at the roots and the slightly smaller ones for extra definition at the ends.
The rollers heat up quickly—about 5 minutes or so—and they’re ready to use once the indicator light turns on, letting you know that they’re at the right temperature. I find the rollers warm but not scorching hot, so I don’t have to worry about burning my hair, which is a huge plus. Another nice touch is the cool-touch ends on the rollers, making them easy to handle without burning your fingers as you place them in your hair.
One thing I really appreciate is the set includes 12 color-coded pins and comfort clips. The color coding helps me easily identify which rollers I’ve used and which ones are still available to roll into my hair. The comfort clips, though they look delicate at first, work surprisingly well at holding the rollers in place without leaving dents in my hair or causing any discomfort.
Using them is super easy: I section my hair, roll each section into the heated rollers, and leave them in for about 10-15 minutes. The result is soft, bouncy curls with tons of volume—just the look I’m after. The curls hold up well throughout the day, even in humidity, and they have a soft, natural look rather than the stiff, crunchy texture you sometimes get with curling irons. A light mist of hairspray helps if I want a bit more hold, but honestly, the curls last well without it.
The only downside is that the larger rollers (the 40mm ones) might be a little too big for those with shorter hair, or if you're looking for more defined curls. I have shoulder-length hair, and I can get good coverage with the 34mm rollers, but if your hair is much shorter than that, you might not get the same effect with the jumbo size.
Overall, I’m really happy with the Remington Jumbo Curls Heated Rollers. They’re quick to heat up, easy to use, and deliver great results—soft, voluminous curls that last. For the price, I think they’re an excellent investment, especially if you’re looking for an alternative to using a curling iron daily. If you have medium to long hair and want effortless, bouncy curls, I’d definitely recommend giving these a try!
