DissapointingArvosana 3/5
I bought it to upgrade from my previous Dell IPS 24" 1920x1080, therefore I could directly compare 2 screens. What I expected that I would have the same screen but bigger and with higher resolution.
The new U3219Q have much much worse backlight bleed compared to my old one. It is noticeble not only in the dark, but also in a room with lights on.
In addition the black levels become even worse when viewing from the angle (again in comparison the old Dell IPS 24" is much better).
However when viewing not so dark content on a screen it is less noticable.
Otherwise the new screen has slightly higher peak brightness, contrast is comparable.
This U3219Q screen cost 5 times more than my old one, and I get for that money:
4K resolution instead of FullHD
32" instead of 24"
Slightly higher peak brightness
The same contrast and color
Much worse black levels and backlight bleed
In addition when the screen turns off in Windows (after N minutes of inactivity), the Dell screen turns black, but the backlight stays on. Not sure is it screen problem, or DP cable, or my graphics card. Found walkaround using Dell Screen Manager app, but it never happened with any other screen before.
So, I think not so good value for it's price.
