probe melted on use; not good instructions or usable

I find this Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub indispensable when you want your grilled meat done to perfection. The dual probes allow you to control both, the temperatures of your grilling space and the internal temperature of the meat you are grilling, it easily connects with your phone for easy monitoring of your food. It comes with a clip for the ambient probe that allows it to stay in place while measuring the temperature, very useful when you need both, direct and indirect heat for your grilling. The set up was a breeze, it also comes with very clear instructions on its set up and use. Highly recommend.

Finally got around to a good test of our BBQ besides hamburgers. Cooked a Roast on it using a Weber recipe and the built in probe. I have to say the whole system was a delight and joy to use. The Roast came out as perfect to our taste as we could expect. Looking forward to next time!

It works well once it's up and running. First one refused to pair with my Android phone and wifi was defective. Props to Weber for sending out a new one asap. Was having same issues then decided to try to pair with friends iphone. Worked fine, updated firmware and then paired fine with my android. They should update these things at the factory before they send them out. Love the app and all the recipes on demand and unit works great. Only wish there was a wireless option for my rotisserie. Does work great though once it's good to go.

I bought this unit at six months ago. Never had any issue with it as long as you charge it fully before your first use, you never have any issues. It holds its charge for a fair amount of time and gives great accuracy when cooking.

My wife loves her 3" thick filet mignon "Rare". NOT "medium rare", which is what she got before I bought the Weber connect. The first time using the Weber connect, I was shocked when it told me to remove the steak from the grill. I thought to myself it's not cooked enough it will never get up to 120°, but to my surprise after resting the five minutes. it was, exactly 120°. "Happy wife, happy life" I like that the wiper connect his Wi-Fi. Are used to cook ribs for the first time. They turned restaurant quality. I never cook without it.

I bought this Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub and after four times using it in my Weber smoker it just quit working. mI tried to recharge it and it won't take a recharge! I tried calling for assistance and because I don't have the receipt they won 't help.

I have a Smart Hub for a few years now and I’m very happy with it. It has improved my grilling results by removing the mystery of what is happening. Using the iPhone app gives me the flexibility to use the built-in grilling programs or use it manually. The recent update made it even better.

I purchased these with my BBQ because I didn't want the integrated unit. Sort of glad now that I didn't. The Webber Probes are useless. Dont work. I invested in the MEATER Probes and that set up is the ducks guts. I would be cautious about buying the webbing ones. Mind you I LOVE my BBQ just not the connected tech.

This clever device makes "low & slow" barbecue an easy and enjoyable task. When the outside temperature is uncomfortable, I can easily monitor ambient and internal temperatures from indoors.

Worked great for first two times. Then the curved part of the temperature probe drooped down onto the hot grill and melted the small plastic ring around the probe/wire. Now it is no longer accurate on the timing of the cooking process or the message to flip the meat. I will now try the second supplied probe and hope that does not happen again. Another small item is that the app recipe for hamburgers only offers Well Done, not Medium Rare or anything else.

Takes the guesswork out of grilling finish temperatures. Haven't missed yet.

Works great. After using one time, I found out that the battery had run down and had to recharge before using it again. I don't know long the charge lasts.

I got this for Christmas and have been trying to get it to help me but if I walk away from the grill it loses pairing and will not reconnect easily.

Enjoy the HiTech grill sessions. Guesswork gone from outdoor cooking.

My son bought me this 2 years ago I've been trying to work with it. Don't understand why you need Wi-Fi. I checked the temperature with A manual probe It was off 20 and 30ﾟ. It takes forever to pair. Why do I need Wi-Fi I can't take It when I go camping. Don't waste your money

The website bounces me around a lot. I want a detailed manual but when it seems I'm there the page goes somewhere else. I don't mind looking it up on line, but at least make your menu user-friendly. I need to know the battery level before grilling. No sure instruction on how to check, etc

The hub doesn’t stay connected and the probes don’t measure accurately. Don’t waste your money on this gimmick.

I bought this grill less than a week ago and it arrived with tape all over it and when you pull the tape off the tape residue is still on like the stainless part of the grill. Not sure how to remove that without damaging it.

works well but the app would benefit additional features like temperature graphs. Would also benefit of wireless probes to use with a rotissery. Priced on the high side for the type of product.

The app is buggy and after only one use the hub is not turning off. It repeatedly resets and shows a temperature reading from the third connection point, even with nothing connected. Hard reset doesn't work.

Just received this device from Weber (ordered from my old account by mistake). After fully charging it a software update was available and that download and install was successful. It connected to Bluetooth immediately but never to wifi and I was 10 feet from the router. Additionally the registration step wouldn’t complete either. Simply a waste of time and money.
