  3. Saved me from Virigin Media broadband problems

    I was having constant wifi dropouts and disconnections with Virgin Media, due to their Superhubs not being fit for purpose. As soon as I purchased this Asus router, all the problems went away. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

    The best router for a busy household, it’s expensive, but for a single router house with no mesh, this is the only one we have used that provides reliable wifi everywhere in the house with useable speeds. The adaptable QOS means even when others are online people can game and watch streaming services without interfering with each other.

    Stop using your isp router this is the best router on the market I have a 500mbps fttp package and was only ever seeing 350mbps download speeds and frequent drop outs on my Wi-Fi since installing this router I’m getting download speeds of 500+mbps and no Wi-Fi drop outs the Wi-Fi range is amazing.with a little bit of tech knowledge It’s not that difficult to set up you just plug the Ethernet cable from your ONT into the Wan port apply your settings and your way.

    Very nice looking router and handles my gigabit connection extremely well. Allows quick and easy portforwarding too which I use rather frequently to play games with my friends. The router also has robust settings covering all bases (Security, frequencies, devices and more.)

    Quslity bit of kit. Wireless speeds are now performing at maximum line capacity from ISP throughout the house. Additionally using it as a streaming router for Oculus Quest 2's Airlink feature (Oculus officially recommend that any router used should be within 20 feet and have direct line-of-sight), and it provides solid and stable framerates/bitrate, even though the RT-AX86U is in a separate room on a different floor of the house! Overall, very satisfied thus far.

    An excellent router from Asus. Easy to set up, literally took about 5 minutes from out of the box. Its a quality product, as is all Asus products, well built, looks superb and it certainly does exactly what its supposed to. Improved my Wi-Fi dramatically compared to my old router from another manufacturer (which is now in the bin), and I can now receive Wi-Fi outside in my back garden, approx 25 metres from where its situated. Its fast, superb connectivity and never drops signal strength. Its dual band so can choose from either 2.5G or 5.0G and its Wi-Fi 6. Fantastic for online gaming, and it has excellent security features. This was money well spent.
