I have owned dozens of electric shavers over the years, the last 2 or 3 being Phillips.

I can honestly say that this is the best yet, leaving my skin feeling very smooth with no irritation. And I love the self cleaning facility.

The Series 5000 shaves closer than my previous (much older) Philips shaver - which was the reason I bought it (having read many reviews like this one!)

Easy to use and clean. Even better than my previous Philips 6000 series shaver.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shaver is absolutely brilliant, it gives a very close shave and is very lightweight and easy to use. The blades are super sharp and it does the job perfectly.

This particular mark 2 (as I call it) 5000 shaver is better than the mark 1 5000 . It has a comfortable feel when using it and does what I expected . I would have liked to use tthe Philips 9000 , but too expensive for me . I'm in my 80s .

Really like using this shaver with a shaving balm as a wet shave skin is left smooth and a close shave too.

Also bought the cleaning pod which is great didn't realise till I first used it that it times it's self too

I’ve had this shaver for a couple of months now and had previously been using a foil shaver, so it’s taken a few weeks for my skin (and myself) to get used to the rotary blades - but having adjusted, I can honestly say this is the best shaver I’ve ever had - well made, easy to clean, competitively priced and an amazing battery life (lasts me nearly 2 weeks between charges!) and it even comes with a nice sturdy case and cleaning brush - Having been converted, I would recommend this shaver to anyone wanting an excellent shaver at a good price!

My son needed to shave 2 times a day for work but since using the Philips Shaver series 5000 Wet and Dry electric shaver it is only needed once a day.It follows the contours of the face and has not left a burning sensation or dryness of the skin.The trimmer is amazing and is perfect for tidying up around hairline and nose..
