Halusin ostaa hyvän, pitkäikäisen tarratulostimen kotikäyttöön ja kattavan vertailun jälkeen päädyin tähän "ammattilaismalliin". Ajattelin aluksi käyttää tätä lähinnä varastossa olevien laatikoiden merkkaamiseen ja kotiverkon kaapeleiden merkitsemiseen, mutta käyttötarkoituksia tuntuu olevan kaikkialla:

This is a quality piece of equipment, easy to use and I would have no hesitation in purchasing again.
Yksityis-/harrastuskäyttöön tukin ja punnitsin pitkään yksinkertaisempia ja halvempia vaihtoehtoja. Olen tyytyväinen tähän PT-E550-valintaani, joka PC- ja verkko liitäntämahdollisuuksineen tekee helposti paitsi "sähkötarrat" myös muut tarrat. Pakkauksessa ja hinnassa oli mukana sen verran tarvikkeita, että hintakin tuli jotenkin perusteltua - ainakin itselle.
I had the previous model label printer which I used every week for years and never let me down. I decided to upgrade to the E550W which has more features for my use and is brilliant with so many functions, excellent quality printing and a pleasure to use, quality robust case and the same quality with the carrying case. I Very Highly Recommend the E550W.

It was hard at first to work out how to connect a mobile device to the printer through the on board wireless network and a shame there was no information as to what apps are compatible with the printer a simple QR code to scan and take you to the App Store to download would be nice after all these are the two added main features to purchase this model
But that aside it’s a wonderful bit of kit with many different possibility’s ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a different model before, but this is so much easier to use for us electricians with the build-in templates and the Wi-fi connectivity is just brilliant as you could do your stuff on a laptop and print it whenever needed
I bought this as a huge upgrade from my old basic p-touch unit, and I wish I had bought it sooner. This is honestly the ultimate label printer, with so much variation on types of label tape that you can utilise, different formats of label, most of which just change with the push of a button, this device really can do it all. The ability to print preset labels from your phone is a real game changer, especially when you can create your own custom templates or images. I'm excited to try it out connected to a Fluke DSX soon. I haven't had a chance ot try the heat shrink labels yet but that's another level of excitement.
I purchased this item as I had read good reviews on it and it did everything that I needed,It was that good that 2 of my colleagues have upgraded from the basic pte100 model to this wifi etc model
Bought as an addition to my previous label printer and all I can say is I no longer need the other printer, this one does it all and more

This labeller is a good, if unplanned, upgrade from my previous Brother labeller (pTouch 2480) which sadly went missing in mysterious circumstances.
Being able to produce excellent all-in-one labels directly from the laptop makes some jobs so much easier than before.
When using the labeller standalone it is very easy to generate a wide range of general purpose labels, but some of the functions don't seem to be quite as intuitive as they were on the old one and some templates that I used are not included, hence only 4 stars.
The half-cut function is excellent for producing a set of multiple and/or sequential labels and not having all the labels mixed up in a heap.
Anything other than basic labels are probably better created on the computer using 'P-touch Editor' because that way super-whizzy labels can be produced very easily. Another bonus that I wasn't expecting.
My old printer packed up after years of abuse, and bought the Brother. Fantastic machine, easy to use and a great startup guide. Does exactly what I bought it to do and that is labels on consumer units, cable identity labels and warning labels. 10/10
With using it for approx. 1 year, I can rate it as very good solution. Can't say that I'm using full range of functions, but what I need is done in a good quality.
But I have big problem with long pieces of tapes cut-offs. I can't find setting to remove/disable it.
I understand that company needs to sell more and more, but this is rubbish producing, so not ecological solution. And yes, not economical for user too.
Some reviewers say, that manual is great - can't agree, some functions need one-two (sometimes more) tries to be sure how it works.
Just started using the P-touch E550W so only used a few of the options. Connected to my PC easily with lots of extras available. Unit ideal for a work environment it feels really well made and can deal with every day usage.
I bought this printer as i needed something more substantial that i already had. The build quality is very good, very robust and could quite easily cope with site conditions.
The rechargeble battery is a nice addition to the package too.
All in all, a very good investment for any business.
The PT-E550WVP is a great printer and has a good set of features. It's easy to use on the most part with one exception which is printing from a database which I feel is not easy to do. The manual is clear on the whole and the desktop and mobile software is ok I guess but again I feel the database printing side could and should be explained better and covered more both in the manual and online.
The printers screen is bright and easy to read in all light conditions but I would have liked the keys to be back lit which would have made operation easier in low light conditions. The fact this printer has WiFi built in was one of the main reasons I bought mine. I also like the fact there are tons of label sizes and colours available not to mention the ability to print directly onto heat shrink tubing.
I also like the fact that this printer has a rechargeable battery as standard which seems to last a decent amount of time between charges. I carry a set of spare AA batteries tho just in case. I do use my printer a lot I have to say simply because it makes labelling a pleasant and quick task and the end result looks professional.
The printer comes with everything you need to get you up and running quickly and with a 3 year warranty peace of mind too!.
Fantastic bit of kit, makes mains boards and Network Cabinets look professional now as can print the long custom made labels direct from laptop.
It's really great machine compared to what's on the market but make sure you have wifi if you really want to use it's full capacity!

This is perhaps the only aspect I could share any constructive criticism over.
The PTE550WVP is easy to use and no doubt the fullness of its features and functionality will never get truly tested, but I will try - for now it does everything expected and needed.
When working on a flat surface, no issues and its not until trying to use effectively one handed that the ergonomics could be enhanced. If you have large(r) hands than not a problem to operate, but if like me... then the unit does become a little hard to manage holding with one hand.
Bought this at an nic event for a very good price. This is one of the most useful and most used tools i own
This is a great multi interface printer with USB and WiFi. I can create lables directly on the printer or on a couple of Brother apps on my iPad, iPhone or using Brother's P-touch software on my PC or Laptop. The P-touch software being the most featured, then the apps and then the printer itself. However, being able to create lables on various platforms has it's drawbacks and that is mainly where they are stored. To overcome this it would greatly help if the apps had Cloud support that way at least the files created using the apps and the P-touch software would be easily accessible across those platforms. Changing this great printer into an awesome printer!
