Razer is Razer

I've had this keyboard since December 2022, coming from the original Blackwidow V1.

Linear key-switches are something to get used to if you are coming from a Tactile/Clicky based keyboard, as the name sort of tells there's very little to no feedback on the key presses (In the start, had a few key misinputs as they are super easy to press down on).

But These "yellow" switches that are Razer's own type of keys

(mixed between two well known key types "Cherry MX Speed Silver" & "Cherry MX Speed RGB Silver").

There's a green key version of this linear-keyboard too (which is the classic Tactile/Clicky razer keys).

Personally I really like this keyboard since you do not sacrafice any keys while being still somewhat compact (being a full sized keyboard, also known as a 100% form factor).

It comes with a arm/wrist rest, sadly they are not magnetic/attachable to the keyboard whatsoever.

Main concerns I have had is firstly, the "Razer Synapse" program that must be used by all their peripherals.

All around has been considered bloatware, as it serves a very little purpose and tends to eat up a lot of CPU-time and resources for what it does, simply control lighting and let you set-up macros.

There is a Open-Source work-in-progrss-program to unite all lighting controls into a simple lightweight application that can be found on Github, if you do not care about using macros I would strongly recommend looking it up.

A more specific issue that is very common with this keyboard & other razer keyboards with a "dial" for controlling music/general sound volume, is that overtime it tends to collect dust within in the cap which results in the dial freaking out when trying to dial the volume (It jumps back and forth within 5-10% making the volume control almost entirely unusable).

I have had to buy "WD-40 Specialist" (Contactspray for cleaning electronics) to spray into the dial when the keyboard is unplugged to clean it out , which the dial turned back to being good as new for a few months onwards till the issue will be creeping back once again.

Razer keyboards tends to be on the more expensive side too (due to branding), something to keep in mind.

All-in-all that is all that comes to mind, it has worked flawlessly otherwise & has become a fan of Linear key switches, not just for games but for typing too (they are also a lot quieter than Tactile/Clicky keys).
