Great for runningArvosana 3/5
Works well for running and I suppose biking, though I have yet to try this out. Good metrics, long battery life.
Other metrics are quite gimmicky and also available on lower tier watches. This being the second newest top forerunner model however presents great value for money!
One thing that it is really bad at, and this not unique to this specific model, is strength/weight training. The offered training programs lacks long-term appeal. 10 minutes butt training or other loose programs does not connect to any optimal gains. Reminds me of programs presented in the evening papers.
Also very cumbersome to log the training that you’re doing. It tracks sets and reps and suggests what exercise you were doing and after correcting all this post workout I was disappointed learning that I could not able to create a workout plan/program or even train this again based on the previously logged workout.
Once more, it’s a good runners watch but I find myself having to keep a separate app for weight training and log in both places, this to keep the training readiness and body battery metrics correct on the watch.
