Very solid and sturdy
Arvosana 5/5I replaced a cheap Nedis single monitor arm with this one after lots of research. There isn't much info on the web about Neomounts. Hopefully this comment helps potential buyers.
This monitor arm is very solid and sturdy. I have a thick wooden desk, which helps, but still - this arm is rock solid. One important thing for rigidity is the size (surface area) of the attachment point. This mount has a pretty chunky 11x12 cm foot. It is easy to connect and make a tight connection, because, unlike many other arms, you don't have to reach underneath the table and rotate a handle by hand; instead, you tighten a large allen key from the top (before mounting the arm itself on top). This also means that the area under the desk is not cluttered with a long metallic pole and a handle. (I did not use the grommet, but rather the regular clamp, and it is still very good.)
I have a 32" Lenovo y32p-30 monitor attached to it, and they work well together, even though the monitor arm seems to be targeting larger weights.
The rotations and the gas spring feel good and reliable. I did not have to make any changes to the spring strength for my monitor which weights 7.4 kg.
Also, unlike cheaper arms (like my old Nedis single), there is no flex in front rotation. Meaning the monitor does not rotate and it's easy to make it level.
The cable management is pretty good. Some other models from Neomounts have laughably narrow channels. This 450WH1 has large enough channels for the power cable, thick USB-A, 2x USB-C and 2x thin USB-A cables. I managed to completely hide the cables and the monitor looks neat and floating. The top cable management segment is attached with a screw. The bottom segment just slides in with 4 plastic rails. This is probably the weakest point in the design, and I feel that the plastic rails may break at some point if I fiddle with it often.
On some inside elements there is a non-perfect paint job. Doesn't matter much, but still seems like it was cheaply painted with spray paint. The outside, visible elements are painted without defects, with a rough, sandy surface. It's not smooth and not pearly (in case you care about matching the style of this arm with that of some white electronics). It looks pretty elegant and industrial at the same time. The overall white + grey color is nice.
Johdoille on runsaasti tilaa. Valkoinen varsi toimii hienosti, jos pöytälevy, -seinäke tai seinä pöydän takana on valkoinen.
