The most expensive pile of junk I have ever bought.

I bought it about 5 weeks ago, but if it switches off one more time while making a cup of coffee it is going to landfill.

I'm going to go ahead and warn whoever is reading this that I am not the most discerning coffee drinker. It is unlikely I would be able to notice a huge difference between espresso brewed with a high-end, proper espresso machine, and espresso I brew with this Philips one. For the price, however, I think it is certainly convenient and makes pretty good coffee. I like that you can customize how strong you want it and how much you want your espresso or coffee to fill your cup, and it certainly feels like a step up from drinking filter coffee from a standard drip machine. I suspect eventually it will either need maintenance or start to degrade, since it is primarily plastic, but I hope it will last several years before I need to worry about replacing it. I also think the steamer seems to do "just okay" compared to what you might see produced in a cafe, but it still makes a nice latte or cappuccino by homemade standards.

Once set up the rest is quite easy.

There are a few options drinks wise and they're all easy to use.

You can alter the size and strength of your coffee and the Frother is easy to use too.

My kids are enjoying the hot milky chocolate and even the occasional mocha.

The maintenance regime is a little demanding and the filter and cleaning tablets are an added expense but to get a great coffee at home is worth the money and effort.

The only negative has been the awful set up and lack of legible instructions. Otherwise I absolutely love it.

I will say I prefer written instruction manuals than just pictures. However we are working our way through using it. I love that you can make two cups at the same time, select your strength! My husband loved it super strong and I don’t so this is the perfect machine for us! I love that it does beans and ground down coffee. It does the milk frother although we need to buy a metal jug for that so have not tried it yet. I literally love everything so far about the machine itself. Just love it and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this to everyone I speak to!

I have fallen in love with my new machine – I cannot recommend it to others enough!

I have to be honest and say the instruction book is not great and it was a little tricky to set up, but nothing that a youtube video could help trouble shoot.

The built in grinder and seal around the bean area keeps the beans fresh and prepares then perfectly as needed. It is very easy to clean to maintain the freshness and the of your coffee drinks. Any parts that need cleaning or emptying are super easy to remove/clean. In relation to machine descaling - the AquaClean filter allows you to enjoy up to 5,000 cups without needing to descale the machine, making it highly convenient for long-term use. The grinding of the coffee is on the loud side but it is not an issue as you know the fresh beans are in the grinded ready for a fresh brew. You can also adjust the aroma/strength and the water amount using the touch button on the machine. Allowing for full customisation of you drink. I usually drink black coffee and have the occasional flat white or latte as a treat – the machine did not disappoint, the milk steamer create perfect steamed milk for flat whites and makes creamy froth for lattes and cappuccinos.

Though it’s on the pricier side, the durability and consistent coffee quality/taste make it a great investment – a perfect bean to cup machine. (You can also used ground coffee in the machine via a little added section, I am yet to try this. Looks very handy)

It is easy to use and made an excellent espresso and cappuccino. The milk was creamy and had an ecxellent throth. It is a little noisy but that only laats a few minutes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent no fuss great quality proper coffee machine , it has espresso size servings on the display but you can double up with the click of a button. to make a larger serving , it also has a milk frother attached to it and it takes seconds to make really hot frothy milk to turn your coffee into a tasty cappuccino or Latte.

It also features hot water only mode to use with your other favourite beverages.

You can change the desired strength of coffee on the machine on the display with 3 strengths.

The coffee machine is really easy to keep clean and the brew assembly is easy to remove clean and replace , it comes with a small tube of lubricant to keep it running smooth, filling the water container is simple to by sliding out of the side of the machine, it also comes with a water filter included in the pacakge which should be replaced regularly.

The drip tray also just slides out with was for emptying and cleaning snd also includes an indicator that pops through the tray to know when it needs emptying.

You can use whole coffee beans which you pour into the tray at the top of the machine and it has a rubber seal lid to keep the beans fresh and air tight you can also use ground coffee beans into a small section on top too, also on top of the machine where the beans are placed is push turn knob to change the grind size of the beans which also helps with the desired strength of the coffee.

I would highly recommend this coffee machine for anyone who likes espresso coffee cappuccino and Latte coffees.

Very easy to instal, use and wash with no fuss at all, and very easy maintenance and comes with instructions manual, warranty and a list of different error codes, just in case. And i also registered it on Philips website where has more info and also you can find spare parts and accessories. How awesome and helpful is that?

Now for the coffee part.

Unbelievable good aroma and taste of freshly grounded coffee beans, and the smell in my kitchen is unreal how awesome it is.

Guess what? It can also use ground coffee too!!!

The water tank is brilliant because is big for plenty of coffee cups and has a filter in it. How about that for going the extra mile from Phillips?

The steam for frothing milk... Made me feel like i am a barista , that is how easy is to make smooth consistent frothy milk. Which my son absolutely loves, so happy kid too.

And on top of all this...the coffee machine rinses itself before and after making coffee so i don't have to feel the taste of my previous morning coffee, because that is a mood killer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is very impressive. Firstly the set up was easy. It comes with a filter so you get filtered water for your coffee. It also comes with a test stick to see what your water hardness is which you can set on the machine, this will help to know when it will need to be descaled and will help the machine last longer.

Super easy to use but with some handy features. You can select on the touchscreen if you want espresso, coffee, hot water or steam. You can choose if you want a single or double, how strong you want the beverage and also which size mug you are using. You can also easily adjust the coffee dispenser up and down to the required height for the cup you are using.

Before each coffee is made the machine self cleans meaning you get a fresh drink everytime.

The steam is super strong and producing a lovely thick foamy milk for your cappuccinos. Tastes just like the ones from a cafe.

You just add your beans (also has a compartment to use ground coffee), then select the options you want and press go. Simple as that. Easy to fill and easy to clean.

It’s stylish and narrow so can fit in most kitchens without taking up much space.

Overall I feel it’s worth every penny. Very high spec machine for the money and produces gorgeous coffee quickly.

I love that it self cleans after every coffee. Easy to assemble and use. I did watch an online video as the instructions were a little difficult to understand. A beautiful cup of coffee that tastes as good as any barista makes. Honestly the best coffee machine I have ever owned.
