Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM 27" 2K -pelinäyttö

Olin kahdenvaiheilla joko tämän tai uudemman OLED-sukupolven näytön kanssa. Halusin silti pysyä vielä 1440p ja Asus on ollut hyvä merkki itselle aikaisemminkin. Loistava näyttö kunhan tietää OLED-näyttöjen vaateet, kuten kahdeksan tunnin välein pikselipuhdistuksen ja huonolukuisen tekstin jossain tilanteissa. Värit myös saattavat olla ongelma esimerkiksi valkoista taustaa vasten.

Pelaamiseen silti loistava ja taatusti musta on mustaakin mustempaa, sekä HDR on yleisesti hyvä. 240Hz virkistystaajuus auttaa myös paljon G- ja FreeSyncin kanssa, jos alkaa puhti loppumaan kesken.

The best multipurpose monitor I’ve used so far, perfect image clarity and colour range. OLED really is something else!

Kallis näyttö ja mukaan tarvitsee kalliin tietokoneen jos siitä haluaa täysillä käyttää. 240hz vaikea saada toimimaan monessa pelissä vaikka olisi parhaimmat komponentit ja uusimmat konsolit ei tue niin korkeaa kuvataajuutta. Mutta jos on hyvä kone ja haluaa parasta niin tämä on yksi niistä.

Overall this is a great monitor, there is one issue though. HDR, looks great with the highlights but it suffers from black crush. This is due to the EOTF curve not been tracked / followed correctly. This is with the latest update as of todays date.

The LG equivalent tracks much better but is not as bright. So currently it’s a toss up between the 2 products. Brighter = ASUS, more accurate = LG.

One firmware update to this monitor could make it a perfect product. Fingers crossed ASUS have heard the reviewers on YouTube and are looking to implement a fix soon.

Hans down it's totally worth it, only issue is I can't do HDR at 240hz. So 4* for me.

Very good Black's has really good contrast love all the different presets has just Enough Brightness for Good Quality In Standard definition as well as HDR has good on Certain Games Best Like Doom Eternal. Only flaw was a bit of screen taring but this was caused with Drivers not being updated but works well together with PC and Console only 1440p though doesn't support 4K 120 Great for user settings diling the colours also good with Shadow boost if watching movies that you can't see plus games. Full review will be soon!

This display is suitable for gaming only where high refresh rate is needed. Playing games in 240Hz is breathtaking.

But picture quality is extremely low: there is huge problem of clipping near-black colors and severe banding in near black gradations, where white sub-pixel is activated. Because of this, even games which are dark look posterized.

I attached two photos: one from a game and another from a test pattern with squares of colors. As you may see on test pattern: all colors below #0b0b0b (so all from 0 to 11 out of 255 range) are completely black. And then a huge step between #0e0e0e and #0f0f0f.

In upper range of colors they are good, but the near-black colors are so bad that the monitor is at the edge of being usable.

I've no idea of firmware I am on and how to update it.
