I would like to know whether the pole can be removed from the base plate? If so, is it done by rotating a screw at the end of the pole? What is the size of the screw?
Is the height of pole adjustable?

Yes, the pole can be removed. There is no screw, you rotate the pole itself.
No, the height of the pole is not adjustable, but at the top of the pole there is a flexible part, which can be adjusted (straight upp or down or something in between), which makes the total height adjustable.
DurablePlease find the link to the assembly instruction where you can see that the pole can be removed from the base plate. There you can also see that it is not a screw, it is a fixed part that you screw the pole into.

The hight can be adjusted a little bit by the “goose neck part” but the pole is not hight adjustable
