I bought it as a back-up when the office ran into a sudden serious problem printing with the giant machine at work. It has now replaced the office printer as it does everything and more than I need. It is now my home office essential. A giant in a small box doing the job of a thousand plus printer. My children have abandoned their printer to be sharing with me

Have purchased the printer which is very good the only downside at the moment is the cost of ink replacement at the moment hopefully this will come down in the future

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression of this printer was that it is sturdy and well made - certainly more of a business printer than a consumer targeted printer. Setup was relatively straightforward - quite a big download but it just took a few minutes. I did have to refer to the online manual to locate the USB port however, as this is hidden inside the printer rather than on the side with the power and phone line ports!

Wireless and app connectivity seem solid, although as the printer is connected to my home server I will not use this functionality very often.

Print quality is very good, but the print speed blew me away. I print postage labels quite frequently - from pressing print the A4 sheet is ejected by the printer in 2-3 seconds. Compared to my previous home printer, this is revolutionary!

Scanning is also fast and produces good results.

A minor niggle - every few days after the first successful print of the day, A popup appears on my PC saying that printing failed (it didn't) and then runs a troubleshooter which finds no problems (as there aren't any).

After getting fed up with the HP Printer problems that kept occurring over a number of machines, I decided to go for a different make entirely. I did s lot of research before I decided on Brother, and I certainly don't regret my choice! Attractive, extremely fast and easy to use, it outperforms previous printers I've had by far. The quality of the print and photographs are spot on, and the scan speed much faster than my previous machine. Capable for small office use, it has been a dream to use this for my home and voluntary work. Thank you Brother, spot on!

MFC-J4340DW - bought this printer about 5 months ago and really pleased with it. Easy enough to programme it to Wi-Fi and quick and economical.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this printer now a few weeks and in the middle of moving home and what can I can i say about it...

After unpacking it getting excited like a naughty school kid it took all of 5 minutes to set it up and hook up to my wifi.

From there I had it scanning, printing and printing photo's too. The quality of the photo's actually blew me away the contrast and the brightness of the photo was on par.

Double sided printing has now saved me time and money on paper and the ink usage has been great.

Email the printer from anywhere your work and its there waiting for you when you get back to it and apple print works great too.

My only draw back will be the power cable mine sticks out of the left side which i think really could have gone under carriage and then would fit better at my desk, but on the whole I love it.

Over the years I have owned several printers of differing makes and this is by far the best. It is fast and has a host of very useful features one of which is to have a single sheet feed of a different paper size to that in the paper tray. I also find that the ink lasts a very long time which makes this printer very economical to use.

I have had this printer a week and find it is easy to use once setup.

The information I want to download and print is good quality and photographs print really crisp and clear. Very pleased with it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this brother printer and immediately began the setting up process, as I am not really technically minded it was an easy set up process following the quick set up guide. Just connect the plug insert the cartridges and away you go.felt heavy and robust and the first thing I did was scanning as I had lots of advice sheets to print it was excellent and even prints double sided which is a great eco add on. I have used this printer to download printing from my phone and laptop and found it all quite easy to do which for me is a miracle, enabling me to catch up on a lot of work based printing, this printer is an absolute dream to use the little instruction screen on the front is so easy to use I would highly recommend this to any newbie to tech and printers. The printing quality was really good although only printed in black and white, there is a colour option but it is not generally something i use for business as it tends to be advice sheets I mainly print but for home use and to print brochures it is an excellent product.The paper tray is really deep so holds a good amount and I love the fact that the paper is not hanging around on the top makes it a much neater option and actually keeps the paper straight and creaseless.This is the best printer I have ever tried for all its components in such a compact printer.
